Dubai , August 26, 2026 : Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced service timings across Dubai during the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Birthday holiday on Friday, August 28, 2026.
Most RTA Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed during the holiday. However, the Umm Ramool Customer Happiness Centre, along with smart customer service centres in Deira, Al Barsha, Al Twar, Al Kifaf and the RTA Head Office, will continue operating 24/7.
Most vehicle technical testing centres will also be closed, with regular hours resuming on Saturday, August 29. Four centres — Al Mutakamela Al Quoz, Al Mutakamela Al Qusais, Aber and Wasel Al Jaddaf — will remain open from 7am to noon and from 3pm to 10:30pm for vehicle testing and registration services.
Dubai Metro’s Red and Green Lines will operate from 5am on Friday until 1am the following day. Dubai Tram services will run from 6am until 1am.
Passengers are advised to check the S’hail app for changes to public bus schedules. RTA has also announced that bus route E100 will not operate from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station from August 27 to 30. Passengers travelling to Abu Dhabi are advised to use route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station.
Marine transport services will operate according to holiday schedules, with passengers advised to check RTA’s official channels for timings.
Public parking spaces across Dubai will be free of charge on Friday, August 28, except for multi-storey parking facilities. Parking fees will resume on Saturday, August 29.
The RTA has urged residents and visitors to check service timings in advance and plan their journeys accordingly during the holiday.
